Indian Chinese Wedding at Grand Baccus

One thing I love about Toronto is the diverse cultures we have here, and how as Canadians we are encouraged to celebrate and be proud of our cultural background.  I also love being a wedding photographer for this reason.

I get to see so many different cultures and traditions, it really keeps my job interesting and fresh.

Indian Weddings have long been a favorite of mine to photograph,  and Chinese weddings are a close second.

Both these cultures celebrate with such colorful, rich traditions.

For example; The Indian Baraat when the groom arrives at the wedding ceremony with his family,  he is often on horseback or sometimes an elephant, this is a very colorful, festive atmosphere with lots of dancing and drummers.

The Chinese have a beautiful way of paying respect to their elders with a traditional tea ceremony, where the bride and groom serve tea to their family.

So when Brenda and Jitesh asked me to photograph their two day’s of  festivities in Toronto,  I was honored, and I knew it would be a great opportunity to capture some wonderful moments  It didn’t hurt either that Brenda and Jitesh have such magical chemisty between them!

It was such a pleasure to be there to witness and document the blending of these two rich cultures.

Congratulations Brenda and Jitesh!

I wish you both many years of happiness (double Happiness!)

And a special shout out to Jodie from The Social Butterfly!

Event Planner and soon to be Mommie!!! Great job Jodie!

A Fall Wedding in Terra Cotta

My favorite time of year for weddings is the Fall.

The beautiful warm colors, and clean crisp air, make for stunning images!

And what a place to have it; Jennifer’s family farm in Terra Cotta, Ontario,

which provided the perfect setting!

However the weather looked iffy before the ceremony,

Jennifer and Ryan lucked out and were able to say their vows

against this picturesque background.  Soon after the rain came down,

but the light was beautiful, and so was this wedding!

Congratulations Jennifer and Ryan!!!

A wedding at Canoe

This wedding was one of my favs this year! Georgeous weather, beautiful couple, and a one of my favorite Toronto venues.

Sunny days can often mean harsh shadows, squints, and heat! But this day it all just came together!

Of course having a fun, outgoing, and super sweet couple helps too!!!Annie Claude and Marcus had such great chemistry between them, I had a ballcatching all the beautiful details, and heart felt moments.

Did I mention how much I Loved the venue? Canoe Restaurant at the top of the TD Tower in Downtown Toronto. One of Oliver and Bonacini Restaurants, Amazingly delicious menu!Of course having one of Toronto’s Premier event planners Cynthia Martyn there to pull it all together with suchgreat style, sure helps! Add in one of Toronto Hottest event DJ’s; Michael from Prodigy Entertainment and  you are pretty much guaranteed a great party! And I have to thank my associate photographer Yianni for having a great eye for catching some of the finer details! So I leave you with a few of my favs from the day!Congratulations Annie Claude and Marcus

A wedding at the Estates of sunnybrook

Kids and Pets often add lots of spontaneity and fun to a wedding day.  Joyce and Chis’s wedding had plenty of that!In fact I think Lilo and Coco. (looking very comfortable in the pics) even stole the show!!!

The day included a traditional tea ceremony and an almost rained out outdoor civil ceremony followed by a Beautiful Reception at The Estates of Sunnybrook.

Event Planner; Alison Kelly of A Hot Pink Petticoat, did a fab job, it was my first time working with her and she helped make the day run so smoothly!

Thanks Alison! Here’s a few of my favs!
