Wedding warm ups

A great way to break the ice with my couples is a pre wedding day warm up session, or Engagement Photo session.

This gives wedding couples the perfect opportunity to get to know the photographer before the big day!

I love this as by the time the wedding day arrives I feel I am more like a familiar friend taking part in the

celebrations, rather than just some photographer.  For a nervous or tense bride it helps alot to have one less thing to stress over,

she’s had the experience of having me around, and is completly relaxed in my presence.  This allows me to get the best natural moments captured.

It develops trust between us, and I highly recommend all my brides to do this.  Especially with my destination weddings, I will often arrive a day or two before the

events begin so we can take advantage of the beautiful location,  as the day itself may not permit enough time.

Couples put alot of thought into their destination wedding location and a wedding warm up session is one of the highlights that they will have to treasure for ever!

Here’s a few recent warm up sessions I shot at a few locations in downtown Toronto.

Natasha and Greg

Natasha and Greg celebrated their beautiful day with family and friends on Natasha’s parent’s property in Toronto.

Quaint, Casual Elegance. I LOVED everything about this wedding. The Clear Tent provided cover from a quick storm and also let in a beautiful Natural light.

A simple, yet sophisticated style cocktail reception. Designed by Devan the “Architects of Atomsphere”

Natasha’s Italian heritage and Greg’s Guyanese background made for a wonderful multicultural mix of people.

Congratulations Natasha and Greg.  I am so honoured you chose me to document this beautiful day to start your new lives together!

Classic never goes out of style

I’ve been so neglecting my blog lately. Apologies to my readers it’s been a busy few months since I returned from my 5 month India/Thailand adventure.

Wedding season is now in full force, I also covered the IIFA’s last week in Toronto. (International Indian Film Awards),

I was the official photographer for the Royal York Hotel. It was so much fun to be in the middle of all the hype!  You can see some of my fav Celeb shots here.

I have some exciting plans for the upcoming year, including a new travel adventure I am really syched about,  A new website is in the works too, with lots of new photos.

And speaking of photos, this one is from way back in the day when I used to shoot with film!

It’s still one of my all time favorite images, and fav intimate wedding venues in Toronto, Auberge Du Pommier.  A Classic bride, and a truly captured moment.

Things were so simple in those days. But I love digital now, and all the creative possibilities it brings and would never to back!

I really appreciate you checking out my site and I look forward to hearing from you again soon! Drop a comment below if you like to say hi!

And if your spending (or wasting) alot of time of facebook like me and want to connect there. Add me.

Planes, trains, and Tuk Tuks

Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted here, I’ve just finished a 5 month long trip through India and Thailand.

What a journey it has been, 29 planes, 12 trains, too many bumpy tuk-tuks, 2 Elephant safaris and one nasty Camel trek!

Getting around in India is certainly an adventure!  I’ve met some wonderful people and have been very fortunate to

photograph some amazing weddings all over India and my last wedding just outside Bangkok, Thailand.
